Vaptio, from the Cosmo to the Nolik pod platform

In retailer listings, the brand is still first and foremost the Cosmo 2. Open the official Vaptio website and the picture is entirely different. There is no Cosmo and no Avocado left, only three devices most shoppers have never heard of and one word repeated on every page, Nolik. The gap between what the manufacturer promotes and what retailers still sell is worth measuring before you buy a kit or a box of spares.

Vaptio today, an official range cut down to three series

On its own website, Vaptio now presents just three device series, Tela, Sera and Sumee, alongside its e-liquid lines. Each one takes its own cartridge, Nolik-T for the Tela, Nolik-S for the Sera and Nolik-u for the Sumee, and all three rest on what the brand calls the Nolik platform.

The ranges that made the name familiar, the Cosmo kits and the Avocado pods, no longer appear in the manufacturer’s catalogue. They are still on sale at the retailers we checked, which list only one of the three newcomers, the Tela.

For buyers the consequence is simple. Two generations now share the same logo, and their consumables do not cross over.

Nolik, the platform Vaptio is rebuilding its range on

Vaptio describes Nolik as the foundation of its next generation of open pods, meaning cartridges you refill with the e-liquid of your choice. Two claims carry the manufacturer’s message, leak resistance and cartridge lifespan.

A cartridge with no opening at the base

The idea rests on the shape of the reservoir. The brand describes a one piece, U-shaped base with no opening underneath, designed to cut off the path e-liquid usually takes when a pod leaks. It says the design was tested under negative pressure, at low and high temperatures and in long term storage.

Lifespan figures best read as in-house data

The manufacturer claims a cartridge can vaporise up to 100 ml of e-liquid, with carbon build-up halved by an optimised mesh. For the 2 ml Nolik-T cartridge, that would mean more than 50 refills. Vaptio itself notes that these figures come from its own laboratory and that real lifespan depends on how the device is used.

Tela, Sera and Sumee, three formats on one base

The three devices share the cartridge technology but not the size. Their official spec sheets describe three clearly separate profiles, from a slim adjustable pod to a compact body with a large cartridge.

The Tela, the only newcomer already in retailers’ listings

The Tela is a 119.3 x 28 x 16 mm pod with a 1500 mAh battery charged over USB-C. Output runs from 10 to 30 W, with a side switch that toggles between a Normal mode at 10 W and a Boost mode at 30 W. Nolik-T cartridges come in 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 ohm, the standard kit includes two of them at 0.6 and 0.8 ohm, and there are five colourways.

The Sera, a 6 ml cartridge and fast charging

The Sera carries an 1800 mAh battery and a 6 ml Nolik-S cartridge in 0.6 or 0.8 ohm, with output from 10 to 30 W. Vaptio quotes a charge to 80% in 25 minutes on a 3 A charger, and compatibility with filter drip tips.

The Sumee, the simplest format in the range

The Sumee keeps to 850 mAh and an output of 14 to 16 W. Its 10 ml Nolik-u cartridge, rated at 0.8 ohm, is both replaceable and refillable, and the kit is sold with two bottles of e-liquid.

What retailers still sell under the Vaptio name

Listings from two European retailers checked for this article show the same line-up. They carry the Cosmo 2 kit, the Cosmo 2 Plus, Avocado Baby Pro cartridges, Cosmo coils and the Tela with its Nolik-T cartridges.

The Cosmo 2 kit pairs a 2000 mAh mod, capped at 25 W, with a 2 ml top fill clearomiser and adjustable airflow. It accepts Cosmo coils from C1 to C6. The Cosmo 2 Plus moves up to 3000 mAh and 35 W, with a 3 ml tank supplied with a 1 ohm C5 coil and a 0.7 ohm C6 coil.

Those kits remain usable, but Vaptio no longer puts them forward. Using the grid we apply to any new e-cigarette sold as an upgrade, the move from Cosmo to Tela is a change of platform rather than a simple revision.

The point to remember is the consumables. Cosmo coils fit the Cosmo clearomisers, while the Tela runs on its own Nolik-T cartridges, which have the coil built in.

Capacities and spec sheets, two things to check in the UK

In the UK, a tank or cartridge used with nicotine e-liquid is capped at 2 ml, refill bottles of nicotine e-liquid at 10 ml and nicotine strength at 20 mg per ml. On its spec sheet, Vaptio offers the Nolik-T cartridge in 3 ml and in 2 ml, the latter being its TPD version.

Some retailer listings still describe the Tela with a 3 ml cartridge, so the capacity printed on the box is the one to trust. For the Sera and the Sumee, the manufacturer’s site shows no 2 ml version at all, only cartridges of 6 and 10 ml, which sit well above the British cap for nicotine use.

Another gap concerns how the Tela fills. Vaptio’s spec sheet says top fill, while both retailer listings we read describe a side fill. The material differs too, zinc alloy for the manufacturer and aluminium alloy for one retailer. Before ordering, the user manual remains the reference.

What to watch at Vaptio next

Vaptio publishes no release calendar for the UK. Three signals will still show how far the switch goes.

The first concerns the Sera and the Sumee. For nicotine use, a British launch would go through a 2 ml cartridge version, which the brand’s site does not show yet.

The second is the older generation’s consumables. As long as Cosmo coils and Avocado cartridges stay listed by several shops, kits already bought keep their value. A shortage would be the real end of line marker.

Then there are the figures. The 100 ml lifespan per cartridge remains a manufacturer claim, to be set against the first published tests. That logic applies to any cartridge platform, as with the Vaporesso Luxe Q2 and its cartridges shared across models, where the availability of spares matters as much as the spec sheet.

FAQ

The questions asked most often about the brand concern how to use its devices and which e-liquid to pick.

How do you use a Vaptio pod?

On a Tela, fill the cartridge, let it soak for a few minutes, then choose the mode with the side switch. Normal mode holds output at 10 W and Boost mode raises it to 30 W. On a Cosmo kit, power is set in steps on the mod.

Which e-liquid suits a Vaptio pod?

It depends on the coil. Values close to 1 ohm generally go with a tight draw and nicotine salt e-liquids, while low values such as 0.4 ohm suit a more open draw and lower strength liquids. In the UK, nicotine e-liquid is capped at 20 mg per ml.

What is the difference between direct and indirect inhaling?

With mouth to lung vaping, known as MTL, vapour is held in the mouth before being inhaled, with a tight draw. With direct lung vaping it goes straight to the lungs through open airflow. RDL sits between the two.

How do you look after a cartridge pod?

A wipe with a dry cloth on the contacts of the cartridge and the device prevents most connection faults. A cartridge with a built-in coil, such as the Nolik-T, is replaced whole once the flavour fades or turns harsh.

Which Vaptio suits a first device?

For a first device, a format with no menu and no complex settings is the easiest to pick up. The Tela and the Cosmo 2 both fit that profile, with an edge to the Tela for the future supply of its cartridges, since it belongs to the manufacturer’s current range.

Vaptio, a brand best followed through its platform

The brand has changed its foundation without changing its name. Retail shelves still live on the Cosmo, while the manufacturer is betting everything on Nolik cartridges, two of which exceed the British 2 ml cap.

To follow Vaptio without a mistake, look at the cartridge before the device, capacity and coil value included. It is also the most reliable grid for reading announcements from other pod makers, whichever brand is behind them.
